The Williamsport Garden Club held its March meeting recently. The program topic was "Making Terrariums" and was led by Darlene Melfi.
Members of the club brought items to make their own terrariums.
They could purchase plants for use in their terrariums from Heidi Healy.
The program began with a flag salute by President Shirley Springman.
A poem and history of St. Patrick's Day was read by Julie Griffiths.
A March horticulture report was given by Jim Lewis. He explained that March was the time to do pruning and not in the summer because plants are in their dormant state. Also that it is time to be going through seed catalogues to see what seeds and plants are needed for your garden.
The spring luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. on April 4, at LeJenne Chef, Pennsylvania Coll-ege of Technology. A program on flower arranging will be held by Chris Fink. Reservations are due by April 1.
The cost of the luncheon is $20.
Checks should be made payable to Williamsport Garden Club and mailed to Diane Brown, 4330 Route 973 E., William-sport, PA 17701.
At the conclusion of the meeting, refreshments were served by Joan Bauder and Ann Dinges.
