Ecumenical luncheon

United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. This Wednesday, Sandy Grier, owner of Alwong the Way Bookstore and a member of Church of the Savior, Lutheran, will be the speaker and share some ideas of good books to read. A serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees are encouraged call United Churches at 322-1110 to help the caterer know how many to prepare for.

Devotion line

The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 322-5762. The devotionalist next week will be the Rev. Georgianna Welsch. Welsch is a member of Maple Street AME Zion Church in Williamsport.
