Announcement has been made of the engagement of Dorothy "Dottie" Rowe White, Loyalsock Township, and Robert K.H. "Bob" Mertz, Montoursville.
A June wedding at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, is being planned.
White is the daughter of Helen Canary and James Gilsenan Rowe, Roanoke, Va. She graduated from Roanoke Catholic High School in 1972 and received a degree in business administration from Thomas Edison State University, Trenton, N.J., in 1992. She is employed by Loyalsock Tax Administration, as a tax collector.

Mertz is the son of Margaret Eva Mertz, Allentown, and the late Kenneth Adam Mertz. He graduated from Allentown High School in 1962 and attended Penn State University. He is employed by Schneider Valley Farms as general manager.
