John F. Clark, 87, formerly of Salladasburg, died Sunday evening, Feb. 10, 2013, in the ManorCare Health Center in Jersey Shore.
Born Dec. 22, 1925, in Salladasburg. He was the son of Fred R. Clark and the former Mary M. Eckenstein.
During the Korean War and World War II, John honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. John was a 1944 graduate of the Jersey Shore High School and the Williamsport Technical Institute as a commercial graphic artist. He was a self employed graphic artist, illustrating for many businesses and magazines.

VETERAN
For many years he was a Boy Scout master and served as chief of the Larrys Creek Fire Co. John enjoyed Ham Radio, fishing, hunting, walking and was active with the Korean War Veterans. For many years, John attended the Salladasburg United Methodist Church.
John is survived by two nephews, William M. (Kathleen) Dochter of Williamsport and Robert A. (Sandra) Dochter Sr. of Salladasburg; one niece, Joann Irrgang of North Carolina; also three great-nephews; one great-niece; one great-great-nephew; and three great-great-nieces. John was preceded in death by his mother and father and two sisters, Hazel Clark and Ruby Dochter.
Memorial services will be Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Salladasburg United Methodist Church. Rev. Kevin Brophy will officiate. Burial will be in the Salladasburg Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.
