Youth trap league meets March 10, April 14 and May 19. Practice at noon, shooting at 1 p.m.

Shoots will be held Feb. 16-17 (bacon); March 2-3 (door prize), March 16-17 (door prize), April 20 (22nd annual 16-yard marathon, ammo for winners), April 21 (ammo), May 11-12 (all female shooters receive gift), May 25-27 (cash prizes, registration at 8 a.m. daily; pig roast Sunday); June 2 (state shoot warmup), June 22 (MS benefit shoot), June 23 (junior and sub-junior honor shoot), July 13 (free targets for two shooters traveling the farthest to the club), July 14 (worker appreciation shoot, gifts for office staff), Aug. 16-18 (annual sponsor shoot (added money, chicken barbeque Aug. 18), Oct. 12-13 (bag of shot), Oct. 26-27 (tenderloin shoot), Nov. 2-3 (basket of apples), Nov 16-17 (turkey), Dec. 14-15 (ham).

Tuesday afteroon trapshoots at 1 p.m. Minimum of three shooters per event. Shoots on June 18, 25; July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; Aug. 6, 13, 20, 27; Sept. 3, 10, 17, 24.

Beginners Firearms Safety Course: Participants will learn how to safely load a firearm, safely unload a firearm, safe clearing procedures, basic pistol shooting skills, the differences between a revolver and semi-automatic pistol and how to shoot each one, and more. One-day classes will be held 6-9 p.m. Feb. 28; 1-4 p.m. Feb. 15.

Ladies 5-week program: Classroom training on firearms safety and handling as well as tactics in self-defense, in particular, dealing with home invasions. Participants must attend each date. Upcoming programs will be held Monday evenings beginning Feb. 11; Saturday mornings beginning Feb. 16; Wednesday evenings beginning April 3.

Level 2 course: Tactical training on moving from and toward a threat, rapid fire, use of flashlights and firing when the threat is within arms reach; 1-3 p.m. Feb. 10.

Level 3 course: Tactical training on firing techniques using a barricade for cover and using Hogan's Alley, a decision-making course of fire used by the FBI; noon-2 p.m. Feb. 23.
