The Lycoming County SPCA?launched its 2014 PAWtraits Pet Calendar Contest. Entries for the seventh annual contest are now being accepted.
On March 13, the public contest display will be open at the Lycoming Mall. The contest display features photos of locally-owned pets that mall visitors may view and then make monetary contributions to the photos they believe should appear in the calendar.
The top 12 photos that receive the most monetary votes will then appear in the 2014 calendar printed and distributed by the Lycoming County SPCA in mid-October.
The contest photos will remain on display at the Lycoming Mall until May 13.
The final date to contribute monetary votes is 2 p.m. May, 13, and the winners of the contest will be announced on June 2 at the SPCA-Clear Channel Communication's Pet Expo being held at Indian Park in Montoursville.
In addition to the monetary votes being collected at the Lycoming Mall, calendar contest participants also can raise extra donations on their own.
Sponsors also may view the contest entries and place their monetary votes on the SPCA website at www.lycomingspca.org or on the SPCA's Facebook page.
Entry forms are available at the SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, and at the Lycoming Mall contest display.
Official rules, entry forms and other contest information are available at www.lycomingspca.org or on the Lycoming County SPCA Facebook page.
The calendars will be printed and offered for sale to the public starting in mid-October. The SPCA also is soliciting advertising for the calendar from businesses and individuals.
