Bruce H. Gilbert, 87, of Loyalsock Township, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 6, 1925, at Montoursville. He was the son of the late Coleman A. and Grace F. (Hill) Gilbert.
Bruce graduated from Montoursville High School and studied carpentry after returning from his service in World War II. He was a 65 year member of the carpenters union and had a love of woodworking.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 66 years, Martha Louis, and six children, Richard (Joan) Gilbert, of Loyalsock Township; Donald J. (Eileen) Gilbert, of Montoursville; Judy Sherwood, of Litiz, Pa.; Barbara Reilly, of Hughesville, Pa.; Bruce F. Gilbert, of Muncy; and Dennis E. Gilbert, of Montoursville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mary C. Day, of Montoursville.
A private funeral was held at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013.
