Linda Eileen Gramling, 54, of 742 Muncy Exchange Road, Muncy, died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at her home.
Born Jan. 8, 1959, at the U.S. Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Va., she was a daughter of Floyd Benjamin of San Antonio, Texas, and the late Ruby (Barr) Benjamin. On July 17, 1977, she married John Thomas Gramling, who survives. Together they celebrated 35 years of marriage.
Linda attended Williamsport High School. She received her master's degree in business education from Bloomsburg University in 2004. Linda taught ninth and tenth grades at Millville High School for three years. Then, she was a teacher for Education Online, doing tutoring, home schooling and focusing on adult literacy.
Linda enjoyed knitting, soap making, reading and traveling, especially to Scotland. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to her father and husband, are two sons, Jeremy C. Gramling of York and Christopher D. Gramling and his wife, Tierney of Muncy; two daughters, Jennifer L. Melzer and her husband James of Muncy and Ashley R. Gramling of Williamsport; two brothers, Howard Benjamin and his wife Yen of Texas, and Bruce Benjamin of Utah; four sisters, Robin Kuhns and her husband Ron of W.Va., Dawn Benjamin, Shannon Benjamin and Melissa Benjamin all of Texas; and four grandchildren, Devon Hudock, Abrielle, Olivia and Layla Gramling.
In addition to her mother, she was predeceased recently by an aunt, Bonnie Price.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
