David E. Moon, 67, of Cogan House, died Jan. 25, 2013, at his home.
Born June 21, 1945, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Edward and Irene (Stewart) Moon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two half-sisters, June Baldwin and Jean Hoffman.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. David retired from Radiant Steel after 25 years. He enjoyed Western books and movies, walking and working around his home and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Debra R. (Fischer) Moon; two children, Wendy M. Moon (Shawn Fink) of Salladasburg and Heather D. Livermore of Brookside; two stepchildren, Joseph (Valerie) Livermore and Elizabeth (Brian) Houseknecht, both of Cogan House; four grandchildren, Ashley (Ryan), Brent, Clinton and Andrea; two stepgrandchildren, Baily and Levi; three brothers, Clarence (Pat) and James (Carol) Moon, both of Williamsport, and Wayne Moon of Jersey Shore; five half-brothers, Terri (Joyce) Rogers of Cogan Station, James (Vicki) Rogers of Hughesville, Bob Confer of Williamsport, Carl Hoffman of Williamsport and Robert (Carol) Hoffman of Hughesville; and two half-sisters, Christine Rogers of Williamsport and Sally Twigg of Trout Run.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Christian Church of Cogan Station, 5904 Lycoming Creek Road, Cogan Station. Burial will follow in Cogan House Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport and from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at church.
