Doris L. Vanemon, 76, of Williamsport, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born March 19, 1936, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Nunn) Miller. She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Miller.
She worked as a nurse's aid at Valley View nursing home, retiring in 2002.
Doris was an avid cake decorator. She enjoyed pottery, ceramics, gardening, flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her five children, Debra L. Vanemon of Williamsport, Rick W. (Janelle Molloy) Vanemon of Kentucky, Donald E. Vanemon of Cogan Station, Brenda A. (Joseph) Wiegand of Cascade, and Gary W. (Kelly) Vanemon of Williamsport; 15 grandchildren, Derek, Shane, Joshua, Sarah, Deziree, Rebecca, Eric, Lucas, Seth, Jessica, Benjamin, Margaret, Madeline, Lauren, and Lily; and two great-grandchildren, Veda and Mikayla.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan, 27, 2013, at her daughter's home, 718 Fourth Ave., Williamsport.
