Sen. Feinstein should recall how the Nazis utilized firearm registration to confiscate guns in 1938 and later imprisoned and slaughtered millions of Jews and dissidents. While preparing for war Americans observed how Germany's firearm registration facilitated confiscation, and when Congress passed the Property Requisition Act in 1941, it approved acquisition of certain property for defense but prohibited registration and infringement upon Americans Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
Sen. Feinstein and her anti-gun cohorts have endorsed banning semi-automatic firearms, large capacity magazines, gun shows, private gun transfers, tracking buyers and firearm movement through a national database, and stiffer penalties for carrying guns near schools. They would classify the three million semi-automatic AR-15's as machine guns, eliminate the grandfather clause, require fingerprinting and FBI background checks, a six- month application process, $200.00 fee, and government confiscation upon death.
New York's Gov. Cuomo has arrogantly suggested registration, mandatory buybacks, and confiscation of his subjects' AR-15's even though many are retired veterans and law-enforcement officers who prize their firearms for recreational enjoyment, varmint hunting and self-defense.
Gun Grabbers have argued Saturday Night Specials were unsuitable for military use and should be eliminated, and now they're asserting semi-automatic rifles are military weapons and should be banned. According to the Supreme Courts 1939 U.S. v. Miller ruling, modern semi-automatic rifles would be considered part of ordinary military equipment contributing to the common defense and receive Second Amendment protection.
Noah Webster predicted, "The Supreme Power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword, because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops." What deters power-seeking egotistic American politicians from becoming dictators? Eighty five million gun owners, 8 million with concealed carry permits, and three million with AR-15 semi-automatic rifles exercising their Second Amendment right.
