Man charged with selling drugs to police informant

WELLSBORO - Thomas J. Ray, 49, of 282 Benauer Road, was charged by the state Office of the Attorney General with two counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance, plus criminal use of a communication facility.

According to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard's office, on Aug. 31 and Oct. 4., Ray sold 15 Alprazolam tablets to a confidential informant in the area of 58 West St. in the borough.

He was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail and his preliminary hearing set for Jan. 22.
