Right to work

January 17, 2013
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

I would again like to voice my opinion against necessity of unions especially for government employees. As a U.S. Navy vet like so many others we have proudly served our country for many reasons and yet we don't require or demand all Americans do the same in order to enjoy their benefits and freedoms of living here in the U.S.A. Construction trade unions are a benefit to the workers and the employers as well safety issues and cost efficiencies are a key issue. But with government workers you have many levels of government checks and balances or accountability factors already in place, like city council mayors county commissioners state and federal reps and senators governors, lawyers legal departments legislation judges juries.
