Russell E. Jameson, 84, of Jersey Shore, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, in Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care.
He was born March 27, 1928, in Loganton, the son of Christy and Susan (Cashner) Jameson.
Russell was married to the former Loretta Weidler, who survives.
He was an U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War.
Russell retired from the Hammermill Paper Company.
He loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, gardening and taking his rabbit dog "Archie" out.
Surviving, besides his wife, Loretta, are a son, Tim Jameson of Pavo, Ga.; two daughters, Debbie (Bill) Percival of Woodbridge, Va., and Darlene Jameson of Jersey Shore; two grandchildren, Brent (Erin) Percival of Auburn, Ala., and Eric (Sarah) Percival of Woodbridge, Va.; a brother, Allen (Carolyn) Jameson of Swarthmore, Pa.
Relatives and friends are invited to Russell's Life Celebration service 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with Sharon Nestlerode officiating. A visitation will be held Friday from 10 until 11 a.m. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park with military honors.
