Violet B. Husted, 85, of 926 Mulberry St., Montoursville, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services, North.
She was born June 12, 1927, in Williamsport, the daughter of Harold and Violet Trauger Derr.
Violet had been a pilot and was a member of the Quarter to Two Flying Club and the 99's Women's Flying Club. She had worked for Textron and was a member of the Hammond Organ Society and the Montoursville Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney O., whom she married July 12, 1947, and by nieces and nephews.
A memorial graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, in the Montoursville Cemetery.
