Library announces activities

McEWENSVILLE - The following events will take place at the Montgomery House Warrior Run Area Public Library:

LapSit for Infants - 11 a.m. today and Jan. 15.

Book Discussion Group - 7 p.m. tonight.

Crafter's Corner - 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Jan. 17.

Preschool Story Time - 11 a.m. Friday and Jan. 18.

World Wide Knitters - 6 p.m. Jan. 14.

Skype Workshop - 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14.

Teen Nite - 6 p.m. Jan. 18.

Strobel's announces classes

Strobel's Sewing Center, 201 Basin St., will hold the following classes at their center.

Triangulations Class - Learn how to properly use your Triangulations software by piecing the Lady of the Lake block; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 11. Snow date is 1 p.m. Jan. 18.

Garden Album Quilt Class - This class will feature block of the month using Edyta Sitar's pattern and book; 1 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 14.

Disappearing Four Patch Quilt Class - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 22. Snow date 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 24.

Unfinished Project Night - Bring your pattern, machine and supplies. Call ahead; 6 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 29.

TPA to hold luncheon

The Post W. Williamsport Traveler's Protective Association of America, a fraternal benefit organization, will hold its monthly meeting at noon Jan. 16 at Hoss's Steak and Sea House, 1954 E. third St.

Reservations are requested no later than Jan. 11 and may be made by calling Helen M. Mayer, secretary-treasurer, at 435-2376.

Revitalize group to hold open house

MONTGOMERY - "Revitalize Montgomery" will host an open house at 6 p.m. Jan. 16 at Montgomery Area High School cafeteria, 120 Penn St.

More than 12 community groups will be represented with tables displaying information about their upcoming events and what they do for the Montgomery community.

At 6:30 p.m. Susquehanna Greenway representatives will lead a discussion and document the ideas of the attendees about what should be removed, added or enhanced to make Montgomery a better place to live, work and play.

The information shared during the open house will be used by "Revitalize Montgomery" to set a vision and an action plan for "Growing Toward Tomorrow."

Relay team to hold fundraiser

Bosom Buddies Relay For Life team will hold their annual Vera Bradley and Yankee Candle bingo Jan. 26 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 142 Market St.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and bingo starts at 12:30 p.m. Seating is limited and tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.

Cost of tickets includes two door prize tickets, one bingo booklet, coffee and snacks.

Extra bingo cards will be available for sale.

Ten games of bingo will be played for alternating Vera Bradley and Yankee Candle products. There also will be a Chinese auction for a variety of different baskets.

All money raised will benefit the Relay For Life of Williamsport and the American Cancer Society.
