December 30, 2012
From staff reports , Williamsport Sun-Gazette

Williamsport's boys basketball team lost to Sanford, 73-66, in the championship game of the Elmira Christmas Tournament on Sunday. Jahny Love hit a game-tying 3-point field goal at the end of regulation to force overtime for Sanford, who is a three-time defending state champion from Delaware.

Chris Kinley scored a game-high 25 points for the Millionaires and Isaiah Washington added 12 for Williamsport, which suffered its first loss of the season.

Sophomore Emily Daugherty scored a season-high 23 points to lead the Lock Haven women's basketball team past Pitt-Johnstown, 80-75. Daugherty scored her 23 points on 9 of 12 shooting from the field. Her 23 points are just three shy of her career-high 26. Daugherty also pulled down seven rebounds.

Chuck Harper's lay-up in traffic with 30 second remaining in the game gave Mansfield what proved to be the game-winning basket to beat Flagler, 56-54, in men's basketball. Harper led Mansfield (3-6) with a team-high 16 points and added eight rebounds and four assists in the win. Sophomore Joe Bell recorded his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 boards and extended his double-figure scoring streak to 26 games.
