William Richard Nicolai III, 70, of Montoursville, died on Dec. 20, 2012, at the Gatehouse.
He was born March 3, 1942, in Summit, N.J., the son of William R. Jr. and Gladys Applin Nicolai.
He was a retired licensed master plumber and code enforcement official, a member of Madison, N.J. Elks No. 1465, enjoyed traveling, geocaching and spending time outdoors.
Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Puskar; two sons, William R. Nicolai IV of Lebanon Township, N.J. and Robert S. Nicolai of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a daughter, Donna L. (Joe) Albore of Lebanon Township, N.J.; eight grandsons, Billy, Danny, Tommy, Michael, Matt, and Mark Nicolai and Weston and Wade Albore; three sisters, Lois Nicolai, Nancy Reddick, and Maxine Bergman and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
