December 31, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

Kaitlin Barrett, of Bloomsburg, represented the Wilkes University nursing program at the Annual Convention of the Student Nurses Association of Pennsylvania, which was held at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington from Nov. 14 to 17.

The convention hosted several events, including a National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) challenge, in which Wilkes placed second. Two Wilkes students presented resolutions at the conference, and 16 students served as voting delegates.

Wilkes brought home two awards from the convention: one for having the second-highest number of delegates in the state and one for growth in mentorship.

Barrett is a senior nursing major at Wilkes and was a delegate and NCLEX Challenge Team Member at the convention. She is the daughter of David and Kimberly Barrett.
