Is the city of Williamsport going bankrupt? It sure seems that way, our city leaders are like kids in a candy store.
Even with the federal and state grant money they are spending money the city doesn't have on projects that we don't need at this point in time.
We don't have the property tax base to sustain the spending spree that the city leaders are on. There was over a hundred houses torn down and the new businesses don't have to pay property tax for years.
The gas companies are cutting back on drilling and going out West to drill for oil so we don't need these conference centers and hotels.
Is the mayor willing to take a cut in pay and benefits? Let's cut back on spending and pay for what we have.
