Jersey Shore to hold Christmas walk

JERSEY?SHORE - Jersey Shore will hold its fifth annual Christmas walk from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Gazebo Park.

Visit decorated homes, tour the Jersey Shore Historical Society and enjoy the craft and food vendors.

The tour will begin at The Samuel Moss House, 200 S. Main St., and proceed to the Gazebo Park.

The Historical Society also will host an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Moss House. Refreshments and music will be provided.

Women's club to host luncheon

MILL HALL - The theme for the December luncheon of Lock Haven Christian Women's Club is "Holiday Decorations from Scraps," which will be held at noon Wednesday at Aungst's Family Restaurant.

There is a fee for the meal, which includes lunch, entertainment, inspirational speaker and free parking.

Committee members will demonstrate easy-to-make crafts from scraps. Attendees are invited to bring crafts made from scraps that they can show to the group.

Music will be provided by the multi-talented Linda Koch of Bellefonte. The speaker for the luncheon is Joanne Benjamin from Danville, who will talk about weathering the storms of life, with a broken umbrella. The luncheon will conclude with a candle lighting and the singing of a Christmas carol.
