Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would take any opportunity to dis Ken Burns, the renowned documentarian. I have watched his beautifully filmed documentaries of our national parks, jazz, baseball, and prohibitionamong others. Unfortunately, during a recent appearance on a Sunday morning 'news' program he made this statement: "Do you think we'd have a secession movement in Texas and in other places ... if this president wasn't African-American?" Burns also cited what he called "vitriol" from the Tea Party while ignoring the relentless campaign of hate waged by the left in the recent election.."
I will never look at this man in the same light as I did 1 week ago. If this is reflective of a popular thought process, this country is in deep trouble.
