James "Jim" Anonie, 54, husband of Deb (Hensler) Anonie, of Avis, Pa., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Jersey Shore Hospital, Jersey Shore.
Born on June 20, 1958, in Williamsport, Pa., he was the son of the late James Anonie and Eleanor (Saar) Anonie of Nesbit, Pa.
He and his wife Deb celebrated 29 years of marriage together on Aug. 31, 2012.
Jim was a 1976 graduate of South Williamsport High School and a graduate of Bucknell University's Banking Program.
He was formerly employed by Northern Central Bank and retired from Jersey Shore State Bank in 1992. Later, Jim became the owner/CEO of Echo Flooring Gallery in 1996.
Jim was a member of the Jersey Shore Elks and the Young Men's Republican Club of Williamsport.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are a son, James A. Anonie, Avis; a daughter, Christine Brooks-Taitt (Rick) of Lancaster; and dog, "Lucy."
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 408 S. Main St., Jersey Shore, Pa., with Rev. Veronica Donohue Chappell officiating. A viewing will be held in the funeral home TODAY from 6 to 8 p.m. and also on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Final interment will be held in Oval Cemetery, Oval, Pa. Third St., Philadelphia, PA 19123.
