I find it interesting to read "Letters to the Editor" about our ineffective mayor and the bad decisions he is making.
This town does not supply the employment to continue paying city employees what their union requests. I do believe Mayor Campana and his thoughts on outsourcing these jobs will help to balance the budget. If one wants a job, it's here for you; however, not all the pleasantries you want will come with this position. Perhaps you may want to think about this and get back to the mayor with your decision. Everyone appreciates the protective services provided by the city. Things are changing. What was, can no longer be. I don't want my taxes to go any higher or I will have to ask my employer for a raise and perhaps better benefits, yeah, a lead balloon.
Presently, I'm looking at this great pumpkin pie and I want to eat it all. I know by doing so it will not be in my best interest. I won't have any for tomorrow. You elected this man to run the city. Let him outsource if he finds this to be in the city's best interest. No one wants to go this route, however, at this time and this economy, one can only have a piece of the pie. Do your job, Mr. Mayor!
Don't raise my taxes, Mr. Mayor. Go after those who feel it's OK to continue spending what's not there.
