Man charged after not cutting down trees

ELKLAND - Terry S. Aldrich, 51, of 2542 Merrick Hill Road, Knoxville, was charged by state police with theft by deception and false impression after he allegedly took money to cut down trees and then never did it.

According to documents filed at District Judge Brian Edgcomb's office, Aldrich took $430 incash and check from Bradley Whitsel, on Sept. 23 to cut down trees at his 987 Butler Hill Road, Deerfield Township residence and did not perform the work.

He was issued a summons to appear at a Dec. 6 preliminary hearing.
