In several weeks prior to the election the Sun Gazette ran cartoons on almost a daily basis denigrating President Obama. Now the election is over and we are being subjected to continuing cartoons depicting President Obama (and often his supporters) in a very negative, downright hostile manner.
This works against the need for this country to come together to deal with the serious problems confronting us. It contributes to disrespect for elected officials (starting with the highest office) which has even longer term ramifications.
