Hugh D. Bliss, 93, of Wellsboro, Pa., formerly of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012.
He was the husband of Mary Erway Bliss, who preceded him in death April 9, 2008. Hugh was born Feb. 27, 1919, in Wellsboro, Pa., the son of the late Lewis J. and Annie A. Stott Bliss.
He was a dairy farmer and a truck driver for Ralston Purina for 20 years, before he retired.
Surviving are a son, Dwight (Linda) Bliss of Rochester, Mich.; a daughter, Linda (John) Voorhies of Strongsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Leslie (Kevin) Miller, Nathan (Ashley) Voorhies, David (Jennifer) Paladino, Leah Paladino, Terry (Chuck) Lucente, Karen (Matthew) Gaurino; and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Glenn (Brenda) Bliss, Wellsboro; one sister, Rosemary Boyce, Wellsboro. Hugh was preceded in death by two sons, Ernest Dale Monks and Donald A. Bliss; and two sisters, Ethel Davis and Sarah Mays.
Friends and family are invited to Hugh's Life Celebration on Nov. 24, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA 16901. Funeral is Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
