County planning commission OKs Cogan House gas facility

November 21, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

Construction of a natural gas compressor station in Cogan House Township was approved by the Lycoming County Planning Commission at its Nov. 15 meeting.

The compressor station, developed by Anadarko Marcellus Midstream LLC on a 5.7-acre parcel owned by Randy and Kathy Roupp, is planned to be housed in a 3,754-square-foot building with two smaller supply and equipment sheds.

Located in an agricultural zoning district, the compressor station is allowable as a light industrial use according to the Lycoming County Zoning Ordinance.

The land development plan is southwest of Beech Grove on the south side of Route 184 on the Roupps' 96.81-acre parcel.
