Tripoli's Triggers Firearms Training & Educational Center, 521 Washington Blvd., will hold a three-hour seminar to teach civilians important tactics that will keep them safe in their homes.
"The Tactics for Home Defense Seminar is available for less than $20 per person," said Christine Williamson, spokeswoman for Tripoli's Triggers.
The class does not involve shooting any weapons at the onsite range.
Instead, attendees will learn about proper use of force, tactics to stay safe at home, use and deployment of pepper spray, an introduction to firearms safety and a tour of the training facility and indoor shooting range.
"This will be a great opportunity for the general public to receive phenomenal training with two certified instructors who also are retired police officers,"?Williamson said.
Seminars will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 15 and Dec. 29.
