A contractor will close Arch Street, from Boyd Street to West Third Street during a water line replacement project Sunday night.
Mazzuca Enterprises Inc., of Pottsville, is working on the Williamsport Municipal Water and Sanitary Authority project, and will close the street at 6 p.m. Sunday and reopen it at 5 a.m. Monday, according to John Grado, city engineer.
The intersection of West Third and Arch streets also will be closed Monday through Tuesday nights, during the same hours, he said.
The pipes don't have water in them so service won't be disrupted, Grado said.
Signs will be posted but Grado suggested motorists avoid the area during those times if possible.
