WELLSBORO - Casey M. Worthington, 22, of 10 Helvetia St., was charged by borough police with forgery, theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly taking more than 30 checks from her grandmother's check book and forging them to support her drug habit since Sept. 11.
According to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard's office, Worthington took the checks from 22 Austin St. and cashed them for $1,304.
She was issued a summons to appear at a Dec. 4 preliminary hearing.
