Henry F. Stoetzel

Henry F. Stoetzel, 67, of Montoursville, passed away early Saturday morning, Nov. 10, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 18, 1944, in Williamsport, a son of Henry G. and Ruth Koch Stoetzel. He enjoyed growing up on Grace Street. He was a graduate of Williamsport High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam. He was the operator of the Williamsport Water and Sanitary Authority for over 30 years. He was a very athletic man enjoying walking, gardening, biking, racquetball, basketball and the outdoors. He was a Little League Baseball coach and a John Bower Basketball coach. He also enjoyed the library.

His survivors include his children, Susan M. Miziniak (Andrew) of Princeton, N.J., Christopher J. Stoetzel (Melinda), Cynthia A. McGuire (Jeffrey) and Mark E. Stoetzel (Gina), all of South Williamsport, Elizabeth A. Bruder (Scott) of Montoursville, and Carrie A. Girton (Cory) of Jersey Shore; 13 grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy Graff of California and Betty Schult of New York. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Susanna Catherine Stoetzel, on July 4, 1970.

Henry's Life Celebration will begin with a visitation on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Maneval Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 800 Mulberry St., Montoursville, with Rev. John Manno as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded.
