I am writing to thank the Republican Party and the right for the Democratic Party win. Don't get me wrong I believe that President Obama and his team did a very good job of campaigning but it was the policies and actions of his opponents that motivated people to vote for President Obama.
I want to thank the right for chastising Gov. Christie for doing his job after Hurricane Sandy. I want to thank the right for praising and idolizing Donald Trump.
I want to thank the right for belittling women, blacks, Latinos, Asians, Gays, labor, our nation's youth. These are all small demographic groups except for women and combined together they form a huge voting block. President Obama did very well with these groups.
I want to thank the right for inflating the prospect of a Romney win that when it fell flat it fell from a very high ledge. I want the thank the right for all their writings on objectivism and individualism and reality and showing they have no respect for any of it. I want to thank the right for when they were handed lemons in 2010 decided it was best to bite into them instead of making lemonade.
I would like to thank the right for making it clear that the big money brokers cannot buy and bully their way to a win no matter how much they spend. Mostly, I want to thank the right for tying their candidate to such a rigid and unyielding philosophy that does nothing but polarized the electorate and creates gridlock in the legislative and it alienated voters even from their own party.
There was a razor's edge in this election and the right wielded it, cutting themselves in the process.
