Regarding abortion

November 6, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

A previous letter writer states several times that having an abortion is breaking the 6th Commandment and that it costs too much money. There is a separation of church and state as far as I know. There is a good reason we do not follow biblical law as much of it is outdated and ridiculous. The cost of abortion is far less than what it costs to raise a child for the next 18 years.

Abortion is not killing an innocent baby. A fetus has not reached the point of viability until week 22. Meaning it cannot survive outside of the womb. You also bring up the point of good Christians. Good Christians would also be against cutting food stamps and medical care for the poor and most vulnerable. If you dislike abortion and think it's morally wrong don't have one. It's really just that simple.
