Township and municipal coffers are set to receive funds from the state's Marcellus Shale impact fee for the first time this year.
Municipalities and county governments will receive funds designated for local governments, plus counties also get a share of the Marcellus Legacy Fund, according to the state Public Utility Commission.
Local communities in Tioga County are to receive $4,757,003 from the local government fund and $35,617 from the legacy fund, for a total of $4,792,619.
Clinton County is to receive $706,049 from the local government fund and $33,290 from the legacy fund, for a total of $739,338.
