West Branch School, 755 Moore Ave., Newberry, has received five contributions from local businesses through the state's Educational Improvement Tax Credit program.

The EITC program offers a state tax credit to businesses that choose to contribute to program-approved organizations.

Among West Branch's contributors are The Animal Hospital, Comfort Keepers, Healthy Touch Day Spa and Salon, Waste Management and Northwest Savings Bank.

With these funds, families can receive tuition assistance on an as-needed basis, allowing children to attend West Branch School.

West Branch offers an exceptional education with guaranteed low student-teacher ratios in a challenging, engaging atmosphere.

"It means a lot to me that now more kids can come to West Branch. I love making new friends!" an Upstairs student exclaimed while making a thank you card to one of the contributors.

"I think it's so wonderful that so many local businesses have responded to the EITC program this year," said Natali Prindle, the school's EITC representative. "Our school is able to help families join our educational community, and contributors are able to direct their taxes back into that same local community. It's a win-win situation for all involved, and a heart-warming one at that."
