Evangelical Community Hospital closes some offices

LEWISBURG - Evangelical Community Hospital is open and will continue to provide emergency and in-patient care throughout the severe weather situation.

On Monday afternoon, the hospital announced that some of its offices are closed today and some events will be rescheduled. The following offices are closed today:

Cardiac rehab; Evangelical Family Medicine; Evangelical Internal Medicine; Evangelical outpatient therapy at Lewisburg, Mifflinburg, Middleburg and Selinsgrove; Evangelical rheumatology; Evangelical Surgical Specialists; Family Medical Care; fitness center; HomeCare Products (24-hour oxygen assistance will continue); Infusion Center (excluding emergent cases); Drs. John E. Rice, John H. Persing and Mark A. Blakeslee; Lewisburg Family Practice; Meadow Green Medical Group; Middleburg Family Medicine; Milton Family Practice; One-Day Surgery; outpatient clinics, including vascular, bariatric, pain, outpatient dietary and diabetes ed; outpatient echocardiography and respiratory rehab; outpatient laboratory in the Professional Office Building; Selinsgrove Family Medicine; Selinsgrove Imaging Center; Sleep Disorders Center; Strawbridge Family Medicine; Thyra M. Humphreys Center for Breast Health; and wound care and hyperbaric medicine.

The following events have been rescheduled:

"I Can Cope" at 6-8 p.m. last Monday night, rescheduled for 6-8 pm Tuesday, Nov. 6;

Drop 10 in 10 at 8:30 a.m. today. Program will add one session.

Yoga classes at 3:30 and 5 p.m. have been cancelled.

The status of services will be evaluated and announced as the situation develops, a spokeswoman said. Announcements will be made through the local media and Facebook.
