A motorcyclist faces charges for allegedly fleeing an officer who was pursuing him in the 900 block of Market Street early last month, city police said.
Ryan Mark Shay, 21, formerly of Jersey Shore and now living at 356 E. Fourth St., has been charged with fleeing police, a felony, driving with a suspended license and three other summary traffic violations as a result of the Sept. 2 pursuit that began on Market Street and continued west on Washington Boulevard before the officer chose to end his involvement, police said.
Investigators had managed to obtain the license plate on the cycle and that led them to Shay, who was arraigned last week before District Judge James H. Sortman and released on $4,000 bail.
