Harvest party

LINDEN - Pine Run United Methodist Church, 1719 Pine Run Road, will host a community harvest party from 6-9 p.m. featuring a hayride, a trunk-or-treat for children 12 and under plus free food and other activities.

Trunk or treat

Oak Grove Alliance Church, 1681 Fox Hollow Road, will hold a trunk-or-treat from 4-5:30 p.m.

WEDNESDAY

Light up the Night events

Trinity Assembly of God, 332 Loyalsock Ave., Montoursville, will hold its 11th Light the Night event from 6-8 p.m. for children age 3-12 in the church parking lot. In case of rain it will be moved indoors. For more information, call 368-1026 or 368-8841.

TROUT RUN - Trout Run United Methodist Church, 78 Creamery St., will hold a Light Up the Night event from 6-8 p.m. during trick-or-treat time for Lewis Township. Call 998-8231 for more information.

Trunk or treats

St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 2233 Linn St., and Newberry Church of Christ, 822 Diamond St., will hold trunk-or-treat Halloween Night from 6-8 p.m. in their church parking lots.

Faith Wesleyan Church, 1033 Tucker St., will host its annual Light Up the Night from 6-8 p.m., for children under age 11 and their parents or guardians. The event will include games, prizes and trunk-or-treat.

FRIDAY

Mozart Requiem

St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., will celebrate the Feast of All Souls with a special Mass by Monsignor Stephen D. McGough at 7 p.m. featuring the Mozart Requiem performed by more than 75 musicians. An offering will be taken.

NOV. 2-3

Celebration of marriage conference

A celebration of marriage conference for married couples of all ages and singles considering marriage will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday at Community Baptist Church along Route 87 in Montoursville. Sam and Debbie Wood of Family Fortress Ministries in Jamestown, Tenn., will lead the conference. Topics to be covered include communication, emotional and physical intimacy, husband's role/wife's role, oneness in marriage and temperaments. The cost is $30 per couple. Childcare is available. Free clothing exchange

A free clothing exchange will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 324 S. Howard St., from 8-11 a.m., in Shaheen Hall, accessed from the Bald Eagle Avenue side of the church. For more information, call 326-9171.

Bazaar

RAUCHTOWN - St. James Lutheran Church Ladies Aid will hold a bazaar featuring crafts and baked goods from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The church is at the intersection of Middle Road and Route 880.

Craft fairs

TURBOTVILLE - Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 10275 Route 44, between Turbotville and McEwensville, will hold a holiday craft fair from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Nisbet United Methodist Church, 155 W. Village Drive, will hold a craft fair from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Lunch will be available.

Chicken, waffle dinner

Farragut Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, along Route 864 near the intersection with Route 87, will hold its 108th annual chicken and waffle dinner from 4-7 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults, $5 for children 6-9 and under 6 eat free. Takeouts available.

Turkey dinner

SALLADASBURG - Salladasburg United Methodist Church, 310 Main St., will hold a community turkey dinner from 4-7 p.m. Takeouts available from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Donations accepted.

Singles dance

The Singles Adult Ministries at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St., will hold a dance from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Cost is $7.50 at the door. No denim or jeans, smoking or alcohol.

Saving Grace Band to perform

MUNCY - Saving Grace Band will appear at Moreland Community Church, 1300 Church Drive, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

1st Tuesday dinner

Farragut Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, along Route 864 near the intersection with Route 87, will hold its monthly First Tuesday Fellowship Dinner from 5:30-7 p.m. Free-will donations are accepted.

NOV. 7

Pork, sauerkraut and bazaar

New Covenant United Church of Christ, 202 E. Third St., will hold a pork and sauerkraut event. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and dinner from 4-7 p.m. Takeouts available. Cost is $8.50 for adults, $4 for children 5-10 and under 5 eat free. A bazaar will be held from 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

Craft fair, bake sale

LIBERTY - Friedens Lutheran Church, 741 Brick Church Road, will hold its annual craft fair and bake sale from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Lunch, featuring homemade vegetable soup, will be available. Sponsored by Friedens Ladies Aid and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Proceeds benefit charities.

Baked steak dinner

Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 900 Elm St., will hold its annual Autumn baked steak dinner from 4-6:30 p.m. with take-outs starting at 3:30 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 3 to 12, and children under 3 years of age are free.
