Reptiland enters FedEx contest

October 28, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

Clyde Peeling's Reptiland, Allenwood, is entering a FedEx contest to obtain grant money for the new Komodo dragon habitat building that is opening in 2013.

The exhibit, Island Giants, will be the most spacious and advanced Komodo dragon habitat in the country upon completion. The new home will include a living roof to recycle rainwater, environmental controls to move both heat and sunlight within the exhibit, seasonal water flows and volcanic scenery.

"In order to win the grant, there are two steps necessary," said Laura Brennan, director of marketing and group services at Reptiland. "First, FedEx reads and approves submissions, and then they post the submissions to their Facebook page for people to vote on. You can vote once a day until Nov 24."

The entry is available at www.bit.ly/PGCQN7.
