Holiday collections sought for feature
The Sun-Gazette is looking to feature
stories about collectors who have
holiday-themed items for its special
holiday sections.

Jersey Shore YMCA to hold basket bingo
JERSEY SHORE - The Jersey Shore YMCA Board of Directors is sponsoring a Longaberger basket bingo Saturday at the YMCA, 826 Allegheny St.
The doors will open at 11 a.m. and bingo starts at 1 p.m.

Relay team to hold soup and bake sale
MUNCY - Bosom Buddies Relay For Life team will hold a soup and bake sale beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sam's Club, 611 Lycoming Mall Circle.
Free Halloween prizes will be available for children. All proceeds benefit the Relay For Life of Williamsport and the American Cancer Society.
Pancake brunch to benefit club
The Williamsport Lions Club will hold its fall pancake and sausage brunch from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the St. Boniface Gym, along Franklin Street.
Tickets may be bought from club and Leo Club members, the Girio Agency or at the door. Takeouts available.
Group to hold benefit bingo
Relay For Life team Bethany's Believers will host a variety bingo Sunday at the Antes Fort Fire Hall.
Doors open at noon and the bingo starts at 1 p.m.
Prizes included Longaberger baskets, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Silpada, Thirty-One, Vera Bradley and more.

Cheerleaders to hold fundraising event
The Montoursville Area High School cheerleading program will hold a fundraising "Holiday Shopping Extravaganza" from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the high school cafeteria.
Museum to host flashlight tours
Students at Lycoming College have been working together with the Lycoming County Historical Society to establish a Halloween-themed flashlight tour of the Thomas T. Taber Museum, 858 W. Fourth St.
The tour will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 2, during First Friday festivities downtown.
There is a fee to participate and all participants must bring a flashlight.
No reservations are required.

Round and square line dancing
MILLMONT - Country-western, oldies, round and square, and line dancing will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Nov. 3 at The Barnyard Restaurant, 14805 Old Turnpike Road.
Cross-N-Over Band will provide music and Larry Snook will be the caller for the night.
The dance is open to the public.
Clio Club to host meeting Nov. 7
Diane Langley, head of Langley Communications since 1995, will speak about "The Powerful Ripple Effects of Your Life's Story" during the 1:30 p.m. Nov. 7 meeting of the Clio Club, 1200 Almond St.
Langley recognizes that through unanticipated and often-broken roads, we can choose to author the next stage of our lives, perhaps one moment at a time.
The author of monthly Sunday newspaper columns titled "Life Changes" and "Business Tool Box," Langley also has created a medical interactive television show called "Medical Straight Talk," which has been broadcast for seven years.
Langley is an advocate for people of all ages and stages in life who have experienced loss, trauma, health issues and other challenges in life.

Montgomery area senior citizens to meet
MONTGOMERY - Montgomery Area Senior Citizens will meet at noon Nov. 7 at the Luthern "Brick" Church for a tureen dinner.
Attendees are asked to bring a dish to serve, tableservice and a food item to support the local food bank.
Program and meeting will follow. New members welcome.
