Oct. 26 - Deer Jeopardy, 7-8 p.m., environmental learning center. Put together a team of experts for a chance to win prizes! Teams must consist of at least two members, with a maximum of five. Advance registration encouraged.

Nov. 1 - Nature for Toddlers series, 10-11:30 a.m., ages 3 to 5. Call to register.

Oct. 27 - Halloween Spooktacular, noon-3 p.m. Entry fee is $1 per person. The event is geared toward children age 10 and younger. Come in costume and enjoy a wagon ride through the haunted campground, face and pumpkin painting, apple cider making, hot chocolate, cookies, treats and hot dogs. If you would like to volunteer or decorate a campsite for a chance to win a $100 gift card from Wal-Mart, call the park office.

Dec. 6 & 8 - Natural Ornaments, 1-3 p.m. Registration required.

Oct. 26 - Haunted Trail, 4-8 p.m., wildlife center. Bring flashlights. Crafts and games for younger children will be set up in the wildlife center. Live entertainment in the gallery. Volunteers needed to be in costume along the trail - the scarier, the better - as well as to help distribute snacks or with children's activities in the center's classroom. Call for more information.

Nov. 3-4 - Canadian-American Sledders Dry-Land Sled Dog Races, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. dry-Land event.

Nov. 17 - Turkey Talk, 1-2 p.m., wildlife center.

Oct. 19 &?26 - Growing up WILD, 10:30-11:30 a.m., visitor center. Ages 3-5 and their parents. Register in advance. Using wildlife-based activities, the program builds on a child's sense of wonder and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Growing Up WILD! provides an early foundation for developing positive impressions about the natural world.
