SELINSGROVE - The Drive Out Cancer campaign got a big kick start Oct. 6 at Selinsgrove Speedway.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Benner, owners of Selinsgrove Ford, unveiled a 2012 Ford Mustang that they are donating to the American Cancer Society.

The car will be raffled off to one winner on Sept. 28, 2013, at the close of the Relay For Life season.

Charles Paige, owner of Selinsgrove Speedway, presents a $1,000 check to American Cancer Society representative Amanda Alexander. The $1,000 bought the first 1,000 raffle tickets that were given to each adult who attended the Selinsgrove Speedway races for a chance to win a 2012 Ford Mustang.

Tickets are now on sale for $1 each from any member of the Relay For Life of Lycoming, Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties or at Selinsgrove Ford.

To jump start the raffle, Charles Paige, owner of Selinsgrove Speedway, presented American Cancer Society's representative Amanda Alexander with a $1,000 check to buy the first 1,000 raffle tickets. Paige then gave one free ticket to each adult who attended the evening's races.

Not only did the Benners donate the Mustang, but Ford Motor Co. donated brand new wheels and tires on the car.

Anyone involved with Relay For Life may request the Mustang to display at their Relay, or their major fundraising events by contacting Pat Grell at 916-6559 or patgrell@dejazzd.com.
