Announcement has been made of the engagement of Loren M. Tyson, Williamsport, and Luke E. Perry, Linden.
An Oct. 12, 2013, wedding at the family cabin in Salladasburg is being planned.
Tyson is the daughter of Andrea and Tim Tyson, Williamsport. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2008 and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in elementary and special education at Lock Haven University. She is employed by Susquehanna Health System as a transportation orderly.

Perry is the son of Susan Metzger, Linden, and Lee Perry, South Williamsport. He graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2008. He is employed by Williamsport Sanitary Authority as a utility worker.
