EAGLES MERE - Ten Sullivan County nonprofits will receive $500 grants at the 10th anniversary celebration of the Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers.
The celebration dinner will be held Oct. 27 at the Eagles Mere Country Club. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Afterward, Wanda Shirk ("Wacky Wanda") will entertain and inspire while sharing her experience on the hit TV show, "Survivor."
Grants also will be awarded to the nonprofits, while recognizing them for the vital work they do in Sullivan County.
Organizations to receive grants will include Sullivan County Recreation Association, Sullivan County Library, Sullivan County Victim Service, Eagles Mere Laporte Lions, Sullivan County Kiwanis, Sullivan County Action, Sullivan County Laporte-Geisinger Health, Sullivan County Fair Association, Seeds of Hope and Sullivan County Discretionary Fund.
