Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Swartz, Muncy, observed their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 5, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. Oscar Saxe at a Methodist church in Hughesville.
They are members of First Baptist Church of Elimsport, Allenwood.

Mrs. Swartz, the former Carol Bieber, is a native of Hughesville. She is the daughter of Alberta Bieber, Muncy, and the late Steven Bieber. She graduated from Hughesville High School in 1962. She was employed by the Williamsport Sun-Gazette as a motor route carrier in Elimsport.
Mr. Swartz, a native of Bryantown, is the son of the late Ethel and Carleton Swartz. He graduated from Hughesville High School in 1958. He was employed by the Williamsport Sun-Gazette as a motor route carrier in Allenwood and retired in 1996 from West Co. as a supervisor.
They are the parents of a son, Randy, Ocala, Fla., and a daughter, Yvonne Winters, Montgomery.
There are five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
