Recently, the Lycoming County Commissioners were presented with a "mock" check from Lycoming County Chapter of Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees.
The check was representative of $1,863,385 accrued from volunteer service hours provided by LCCPASR members from within the community.
The PASR organization often has been referred to as the "teacher's organization." However, all school employees are equally eligible to join the organization, no matter what position they held in their school employment. LCCPASR members volunteer in many ways throughout Lycoming County. They can be found in our schools, hospitals, nursing homes, churches, recreation center, museums, libraries and at sporting events.

In addition, they transport people to appointments, run errands for seniors, deliver Meals on Wheels and ring the Salvation Army bell at Christmas.
This year is the 75th anniversary of the state organization and the 45th anniversary of the county chapter.
