LAPS to host 4th spay-neuter clinic
PENNSDALE - On Nov. 18, Lycoming Animals Protection Society, a no-kill cat shelter in South Williamsport, will host the fourth reduced-fee spay-neuter clinic at the Pennsdale Volunteer Fire Co.
A similar event in April helped spay 65 female cats and neuter 73 male cats, bringing the overall total the clinic has helped in four years to 428 cats who no longer are able to add to the already overwhelming cat population.
Once again, Dr. Matthew J. Murphy, of Keystone Veterinary Services of Chambersburg, will perform the surgeries in his mobile clinic.
Female spays are $52 and male neuters are $32.
Murphy also will administer both rabies and distemper vaccines as well as a pain medication injection, if the owner wishes, for an additional fee.
Appointments are required and payment in full is due upon registration.
The preferred method of communication is email at info@Laps Shelter.org to receive pre-surgery instructions and a form to sign and bring to the appointment.
