Mr. and Mrs. James L. Newman Sr., Turbotville, observed their 50th wedding anniversary June 30, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. McQuinllan at Moreland Baptist Church, Muncy.
They are members of Fairview Church of the Nazarene, Turbotville.

Mrs. Newman, the former Linda L. Snyder, is a native of Muncy. She is the daughter of the late Doris M. Reese Snyder Sr. and Herbert W. Snyder. She attended Warrior Run High School, Turbotville. She retired in June 2006 from Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, in the admissions department.
Mr. Newman, a native of Muncy Valley, is the son of the late Mildred Fiester Newman and Morris Newman. He attended Hughesville High School. He retired in September 2001 from Frito Lay in the maintenance department.
They are the parents of three daughters, Kelly M., Exchange; Traci J. Heddings, Turbotville; and the late Sherry E.; and two sons, James L. Jr., Hughesville; and Dustin W., Watsontown.
There are 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a party, hosted by their children, was held June 30 at McEwensville Community Center.
