Witmer-Thompson

Bobbi-Jo Witmer and George Edward Thompson, both of Pittsburgh, were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012.

Ron Savits officiated at the ceremony held in Montoursville.

A rehearsal dinner was held at the home of George and Jodi Wolfe and a reception was held at Williamsport Crane and Rigging, both in Montoursville.

The bride is the daughter of Lynnae and Robert L. Witmer, Williamsport. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2003 and received a bachelor's degree in recreation, park and tourism management from Penn State in 2007. She is employed as a certified therapeutic recreation specialist in Monroeville.

Thompson is the son of Giselle Thompson, Theresa, N.Y., and the late George E. Thompson. He graduated from Indian River Central High School, Philadelphia, N.Y., in 1993. He is employed by Ron Kreps Drywall and Plastering Co., Youngstown, Ohio, as a construction worker.

Matron of honor was Jocelyn Rockwell, Williamsport.

Maid of honor was Megan Keiser, Pittsburgh.

Bridesmaids were Kari Witmer, Williamsport, and Kati Gray, Butler, both sisters of the bride, and Deidre Hasel, Pittsburgh.

Best man was Scott Booth, Theresa.

Ushers were Ed Thompson, Theresa, brother of the bridegroom; Phil Marino, North Jackson, Ohio; Jordan Gray, Butler, brother-in-law of the bride; and Chris Hasel, Pittsburgh.

Following a cruise to Alaska, the couple is residing in Pittsburgh.
